The Great Depression

The Great Depression reached its strangle hold from one end of Canada to the other. This video recalls this historic period through a blend of interviews and historic footage. It was a period of labour unrest and violence, massive unemployment, droughts and dirt storms in the Prairies, labour camps, soup kitchens and ineffective politicians.
