The Great War was over and Canada like much of North America entered the
roaring twenties. This two-videocassette series views the decade in such
areas as economic growth, the automobile and the changes it brought; fashion,
music and politics. The second video looks at Prohibition and the
struggle of numerous groups to force entire provinces to ban alcoholic
drinks. As province after province fell before the Prohibitionists, rum
runners grew rich and illegal bootlegging became big business. 2
